The difference between Wiccan and a Witch that practices Wiccan is when one practices magick without the spiritual or religious context, one is a Witch. Most Wiccan's also practice magick but within the philosophy of Wicca - that is, within a spiritual framework. They may consider themselves Witches as well as Wiccan's. Some religions will preach that a Witch is 'evil' and 'satanic', and only perform magic for ill intent to harm others. This is how some have been 'conditioned' from an early age. Wiccan's believe that there is no such thing as Satan the Devil or evil for that matter and that these are things created and believed by Christians. Wicca - A modern Pagan religion with spiritual roots in the earliest expressions of reverence for nature. Some major identifying motifs are reverence for both the Goddess and God; acceptance of reincarnation and magick; ritual observance of astronomical and agricultural phenomena; and the use of magical circles for ritual purposes. Witch - A practitioner of folk, magick, particularly that kind relating to herbs, stones, colours, wells, rivers etc. It is used by some Wiccan's to describe themselves. This term has nothing to do with Satanism. Witchcraft - Witchcraft is a Pagan folk - religion of personal experience. The craft of the Witch - magick, especially magick utilising personal power in conjunction with the energies within stones, herbs, colours and other natural objects. This belief system also has nothing to do with Satanism.
