This Week is the 20th ! Corsham is lucky to have our own independent bookshop, The Corsham Bookshop, that has been run by owner Janet since 2008.

They stock a brilliant range of books, including fiction, cookbooks, art and craft books, non-fiction, children’s books, as well as cards, stationery and gifts. With a focus on curating a selection including more unusual and quirky books, the staff offer fantastic customer service and personalised recommendations. Described by locals as ‘a joy to visit’, make sure it’s on your list when browsing the high street.

Now with the spring and summer season well underway, Corsham Court is now back to its full opening times – from 2pm to 5.30pm, every day apart from Mondays and Fridays.

A manor house dating back to 1582, it houses a unique collection of Old Master Paintings from the 16th and 17th century, displayed in the 72 foot long Picture Gallery.

Once you have finished touring the house, take a stroll in the Capability Brown designed gardens and grounds, which include a 13-acre lake, Gothic Bath House and lily pond garden.

The perfect place to enjoy some art, beautiful architecture, and time in nature – and you might even see a peacock!

The best long weekend of the year is here, and Corsham is the perfect place to relax with friends and family.

Some ideas and suggestions for you:

• The Almhouses are open on Saturday 4 and Monday 6 April, from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. A fantastic piece of living history, step into the schoolroom and see the original furniture that was used over 400 years ago.

• Corsham Creative Market is back on Saturday 4 April from 11am until 3pm at Springfield Community Campus. Browse handcrafted gifts and treats from over 30 local businesses.

• Stroll along our heritage high street and enjoy shopping in our quirky independent shops, and taking a break in our restaurants, pubs and cafes.

• You can also take part in our free kids holiday trail to find the birds hidden along our high street. Print off a copy from our website (link in comments) or pick one up from Corsham Tourist Information Centre or Automattic Comics / Corsham Toyshop.

• Corsham Park is a beautiful spot for a walk whatever the weather, but the lambs at the moment are particularly lovely!

And finally, why not visit Pound Arts for some entertainment. They have theatre with ‘Behind Enemy Lines’ on Friday 3 April, and live music from the Guilty Men on Saturday.

With the start of the Easter holidays tomorrow, it's time for our kid's holiday trail!

This year, a flock of birds have made their way into the windows of Corsham's shops and businesses. Pick up a paper copy of the trail from the Town Hall, Corsham Tourist Information Centre or Automattic Comics / Corsham Toyshop, and help us find our feathered friends.

You can also download the trail from our website: https://www.corsham.gov.uk/news/find-our-feathered-friends-easter-holidays-kids-trail/

The trail starts today and will run until after our Eco Fair on Saturday 18 April.

The trail is free to take part, and all completed entries returned to the Town Hall by Monday 20 April will receive a sweet treat and a chance to win the grand prize.

Happy bird-spotting! 🐦🐦‍⬛
