A visit from our Boiler Inspector today, with our Austin 1, 7754 and 3802 locomotives all steamed up for their annual test. All 3 have passed and are now ready to haul trains in 2025.

Our first steam-hauled trains aren’t too far away on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March. In the meantime, our half-term services will be in the capable hands of our Class 108 railcar and resume tomorrow, Wednesday 19th Feb and again this weekend Saturday 22nd & 23rd.

We ventured to the other side of Denbigh today to collect the dogs from their luxury holiday break at The Pet Joint , with the roads progressively more snowy and picturesque we thought we’d share some of the sights… a real winter wonderland… ❄️☃️
Huge thanks to Meg “ thepetjoint” for caring for the boys, they’ve arrived home and are now somewhat sleepy from all the fun 🤣

The trust that runs it has a 10 year strategy to capitalise on its attractions and sensitively and sustainably transform areas around the Valley.

And it's only a 45 min drive from us 👍

We've done some research and found this from 2018 - a BBC article about Celtic folklore.

✨Noson Galan Gaeaf originated from the ancient Celtic festival Samhain, which commemorated the end of the autumn and harvest season and the beginning of winter 🍂🍁🧡

A lovely 💖review from Andy who, with his family, enjoyed a stay with us:

🎙An absolute gem of a place. The property itself is beautiful, only just surpassed by its surroundings. Barry and Nikki have created a lovely vibe, we felt welcomed straight away. Also 7 bonus points for the friendly donkeys in the nearby field, our daughter loved them. We’ll be back for sure!
