\\\ DOWNCAST COVID19 UPDATE ///
As of 10pm this evening friday 20/03/20 Downcast Gateshead and Downcast Base HQ Newcastle and Van D's Tour Management will all be closing our doors until further notice.
Its one of the hardest decisions i've had to make, but the safety of my customers, staff and their families is the most important thing. I had hoped to maybe go to half occupancy with debit card payments only, but the risks are too great.
Please understand this decision for me is HUGE we have so many overheads, loans , Insurance, rent and salaries to cover and this does leave me in a horrible position, so I do hope that this government funding does become available within the next few weeks, but until then I will contact all bands who have bookings with either of the 3 business.
Please note I will be assessing the situation on a weekly basis and once it is safe to re-open I will let you all know with immediate effect :-) I opened officially within two months of the recession in 2008 and I know that current circumstances won't be the end, we will be banging out beats from Studios across the Gateshead and Newcastle hopefully VERY SOON!!!
Much love Phil x
