Enchanted Princess
Saturday 23 May 2026
Well, they say it’s not over until the fat lady sings, and she is singing loud and clear. Our brief little cruise on Enchanted Princess is over and in all honesty I could do with the next three days of this 7 night cruise, to get over the last 4. I could just do with 3 more days to chill and unwind. But sadly it isn’t to be. Time to relocate back to my office in dry land.
Thankfully our cases didn’t have to be outside the stateroom last night before bed, and we had until 9:00 this morning to vacate the stateroom and place our cases outside for collection.
I messaged Princess chat last night to ask what time we were due to enter the bay of motor and was advised it would be around 5:00am so the alarm was set for 5:00 because it’s sail in that I will never tire of. We took the pilot onboard at around 10 past and we glided our way through the hills and round the bends, and past the little church island on the post side. If you get the chance don’t miss the sail in and out, because it’s idyllic.
My little travelling cat has been packed safely away. He travels VIP in my hand luggage. Lizy gave him to me in 1995 when I went on my first ever work related fam trip, and now he comes everywhere with me. And sits by my bed at sea or on land. I wouldn’t dare go without him.
We had a very relaxed breakfast in the Amalfi Dining Room chatting to the lovely Cathie from Race Across the World.
Quick nip back up to the stateroom to put the cases outside the door ready for collection and then we had a little wander poking around areas of the ship I had not had chance to venture to this cruise.
The tender ashore is going to be an interesting one for us. Our cases will be loaded on to the tender with us and we will go ashore as a group to be processed through immigration. But, the wind has proper whipped up and the sea conditions look ‘interesting’ to say the least. So much so that the tendering service is running slower than anticipated and there is quite a backlog of guests trying to get ashore. I just have visions of my case accidentally slipping into the sea between ship and tender and never seeing my dresses and shoes again. Scary thought! But yes those tenders are going dome bobbing around at present. Maybe it will ease off by the time it’s our turn.
The ship has started to clear and what was a very busy Plazza area of guests waiting to be called to their tender, is now pretty much clear and the ship is feeling more tranquil.
We headed for our tender at 1130. Luggage was loaded onto the tender before us, and that was time for us to climb aboard and head to the port. I’ve never seen Kotor as breezy as it was today, but the ride across wasn’t so bad. Cases were off loaded. Through immigration and into the coach for the short drive to the airport. It’s a shame we missed Kotor because I do like it there. Odd when you think about it that we flew to Rome, have docked in Corfu and Dubrovnik, and we disembarked in Montenegro, but I haven’t actually been anywhere!
If ever you find yourself at Tiviat airport, don’t expect too much. You will be lucky if you find a seat airside. And the only bar is landside. I don’t think they are used to processing so many people all at once. But it was fine.
It was a little walk to the plane, and we eventually shut the doors and set off. It felt like the longest flight ever. It was actually two hours thirty five minutes, but it might as well have been 10 hours. The gin helped ease the pain! It was a never ending flight. Lovely view of the ship in the Bay of Kotor as we took off, and great view of the sights along the River Thames as we landed.
Straight through passport control, no queue no issues, but then we waited for ever for any cases to appear. The car park was a joke. We had been collected but then proceeded to spend 40 minutes trying to get out if the car park. There was a lot of horn tooting. Not from us I might had. Thankfully we were soon on our way with a stress free run back home. So apologies for the delay with my date today but there you go. It’s the way the day worked out.
For now, That’s all folks! Short little jaunt to the Med and back. Thanks for following along. Thanks for keeping up with me, it’s been a blast 🥂 💃 🚢 ✈️
