Ever wondered where the phrase "Peeping Tom" actually comes from? Look no further than the heart of Coventry.

Nearly 1,000 years ago, Lady Godiva took her famous ride through our streets to protest unfair taxes. While the city’s residents showed their respect by looking away, one man, a tailor named Tom, couldn't help but peek.

Today, you can see this story come to life in Broadgate. Our unique mechanical clock features both Godiva and Tom every hour on the hour. It’s a piece of living history you won't find anywhere else!
