The Old Police House is your very own piece of history, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and only 25 minutes from the National Trust Lake District.

Built in 1853 to house the local constable for Kirkby Lonsdale and the surrounding area, the house retains many original features including a Victorian fireplace, exposed beams and stone oven surround.

It's an important time for farming in the with many pregnant ewes and the first lambs appearing🐑 If you're going to be in the this , enjoy making memories and;

🐕‍🦺 Keep dogs on leads, particularly around livestock

Spring 🪻🌷⚘️🌼🌾🌿

The best place to be during spring is the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Long hikes, stunning views, an abundance of wildlife, cute little lambs, wild flowers, birdsong, waterfalls, beautiful streams with stepping stones, misty sunny mornings and pub gardens are just some of the reasons that the Dale's are at their best during spring time 🐣

We are also only 35 minutes from Ambleside in the Lake District, also full of amazing hikes, stunning views and even boat trips across the water.

The coast at Arnside AONB (an area of outstanding natural beauty) is also only 30 minutes away 🌼

If you're taking children/ teenagers to The Old Police House this year there is plenty of things around to keep them amused.

Ingleton waterfall trail is less than 10 minutes away and makes a great day out.
Ambleside in the Lake District is only 35 minutes away and you can get a boat trip across Windermere to Wray castle. Beatrix potter world is also in Ambleside.
We have caves close by.... Ingleborough Cave is only 20 minutes away and the White scar caves only 10 minutes from us.
Beautiful Malham isn't far away and is an absolute must see.... kids will enjoy the beautiful scenery, gordale scar, the cove, stepping stones and can look for fairies 🧚‍♂️ 🧚🧚‍♀️(and the witch in the cave) at Janet's Foss 🧙
There are farms, National trust properties, treetop adventures and climbing nearby.... something for all ages 💛
