There is so much history on the Cowes waterfront stretching up the Medina that many are unaware of. Few will know names like BHC, Lallows or a slogan like White's built, well built unless you are of a certain age!!

Seen this last week on a Portsmouth Harbour tour, HMS Dauntless nearing completion of her maintenance package. Three other Type 45s are currently at Portsmouth in various stages of refit. Each destroyer costs a whopping £1billion each and provides protection for a carrier battle group and air cover for the UK in the event of a missile attack.
