Tips for a great cycle break

1. Get Your Bike Fit Right
We will make sure your bike is properly fitted to you from the very start of your holiday. we will adjust your saddle height and handlebar position before you set off, ensuring you are comfortable and confident in the saddle — particularly important when you have several wonderful days of cycling ahead!

2. Pack Light but Smart
With us taking care of your luggage transfers between hotels each day, you are free to travel light and enjoy the ride. Simply keep your day bag or cycling jersey pockets stocked with the essentials — a water bottle, snacks, a light rain jacket, sunscreen and your phone — and leave everything else to us!

3. Pace Yourself
It's easy to set off too fast on day one, especially with so many beautiful sights around every corner! Our routes are carefully graded so you know what to expect each day, but as a general rule take it steady, enjoy the scenery and save some energy for the days ahead. A Cycle Breaks holiday is a gentle adventure, not a race!

4. Stay Hydrated and Fuelled
Cycling burns more energy than you might expect, particularly in warm weather. Drink regularly and don't wait until you're hungry to eat — stopping at a local café, bakery or country pub along the route is one of the great pleasures of a Cycle Breaks holiday!

5. Embrace the Unexpected
Some of the best moments on a Cycle Breaks holiday are the unplanned ones — a stunning viewpoint, a charming village or a wonderful local restaurant discovered along the way. Our routes are designed to take you through the very best of the countryside, but always leave a little time to explore and enjoy the adventure!

We hand-pick your charming accommodations, map out the most scenic routes, and magically transfer your luggage ahead each day.
