Lloyds Bank dates all the way back to 1765, when it started life as a single office in Birmingham and by the 1860s, the bank was growing fast, absorbing over 200 local banks over the following decades.

Today, the Victoria Street branch does more than just day-to-day banking. It runs in-person sessions for first-time buyers, walking people through what it takes to save for their first home. They also offer over-the-counter euros and US dollars if you’re changing money for a big trip, and they offer digital assistance for those who need it.

📍 Lloyds Bank, 13 Victoria Street, Crewe, CW1 2JQ.
🕣 Open Monday and Tuesday from 9.30am until 4.30pm, Wednesday from 10am until 4.30pm, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am until 4.30pm and Saturday from 9.30am until 1pm.

The Royal saffron has added some new dishes to its menu, and they sound delicious 😋

They’ve introduced a South Indian favourite, Kerala Beef Curry, combining Aberdeen Angus beef with freshly roasted coconut, cracked black pepper and curry leaves. They’ve also added Kadai Beef, with slow-cooked Aberdeen Angus, combined with fresh ginger, garlic, tomatoes, peppers and a special blend of spices.

Both dishes can be enjoyed as part of the takeaway menu, or while dining in the restaurant. Which one will you try first?

September has arrived, and that means the new term is about to start, the nights are drawing in and the weather’s cooling down, but luckily there’s still lots to look forward to in Crewe this month ☺️

🚂 Crewe Heritage Centre is welcoming back the South Cheshire Campaign for Real Ale for the Crewe Rail Ale Festival on September 4th, and the 26th and 27th will see a special 1940s Heritage Weekend Event.

What an opening day we had for Discover Crewe-on-Sea, and we’re getting ready for lots more fun at Crewe’s very own beach today. 🤩

With the weather staying on the drizzly side, there are plenty of additional activities to keep you entertained while staying dry.

Creative Crewe are returning to Crewe Market Hall for day 2, the Giant Seagulls return at 12.30pm, 2pm, and 3pm, joined by comedy from The Lifesaver, Australia’s circus-hooping, beach-rescuing answer to a lifeguard, at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm. Plus, Catch92 will be hosting the Beach Disco throughout the day.

Families can also hunt down hidden seaside surprises across Crewe as part of the seaside-themed bucket trail. The trail will lead people on a journey through the town centre and Grand Junction Retail Park, searching for hidden objects at participating businesses along the way.

The event is completely free and brings a taste of the British seaside to Crewe.
