There are still a few corners of the woods waiting for you this August… 🌿

Our weekends are pretty busy, but midweek still has some hidden gems.

Over the next two weeks we've still got some lovely pitches available — including Toby's Double, Dutch Oak Corner and Spalted Beech — plus gaps for glamping in SkyView on Primrose Bridge and Tree Tops.

Midweek at Wytch Wood is rather lovely. A little quieter, there's more choice of where to stay, and there's still plenty happening: yoga, craft and wellness sessions, woodland activities and pizza nights.

Or ignore the lot, string up a hammock, unplug and read that book that's been on your bedside table for the last 6 months. There's a lot to be said for doing very little. 🌳

If you've got a few free days before the end of August, come and disappear into the woods for a while.

And if the booking system isn't showing quite the combination of dates you're after, send me a message — sometimes I can make a stay work that the computer can't.

🌿 Tree Tops is ready for summer adventures.

Part rooftop tent, part woodland hideaway, and a new way to stay at Wytch Wood.

Tree Tops is our Land Rover rooftop-tent setup, tucked into its own little corner of the woods. Climb the ladder at night and you’ve got a proper double bed beneath the canvas, with windows on all four sides. In the morning, unzip them and wake up looking straight into the trees.

Down below, there’s a covered kitchen and dining area, your own fire pit and cooking grill, and plenty of space to sit out and make the pitch your own.

It works brilliantly for two, but you can also turn it into a little woodland basecamp by bringing a small extra tent or hammock tents for friends or family.

And if you’ve ever wondered whether rooftop-tent camping is actually for you, this is a pretty good way to find out before investing in your own.

Two-night minimum stay, and just £80 a night for two. Dates are now available for the rest of the season, including some August dates, including the bank holiday weekend:
*14-17 August
*23 August -10 September

It's hot, hot, hot again! Luckily at Wytch Wood, many of the pitches have plenty of shade, or a cool breeze to help you make the most of this lovely weather without over heating! We have some sunnier spots too for the sun lovers out there, and everyone can chill out in the communal garden, barn or escape into the woods with a hammock or paddle in the stream.

We provide a large communal fridge and freezer for your food and ice packs, plus have a big selection of chilled local drinks and delicious Baboo gelato and sorbets to help you keep your cool.

Why camp in a hot, noisy field 2m away from your neighbour - when you could have all this?! We still have spaces for camping and glamping this weekend and over the summer - time to get out there and enjoy it!

Wytch Wood has always been about creating a place where everyone is welcome. Mutual respect is a founding principle here.

You are invited to slow down, connect with nature and feel comfortable being yourself. Camping should feel welcoming, safe and open to everyone.

🌞 happy summer solstice🌞 can't quite believe it's the longest day of the year already. Definitely feeling some blessings, enjoying the site today. Plenty to be grateful for 💚 Everything is in glorious bloom and the trees are giving us some delicious shade from the heat. Time to try out that hammock, and maybe a paddle in the stream...

There are plenty of spaces mid week in June and July and still a few spaces at weekends, so get booking if you want to enjoy this glorious time of year 💚🌞💚

It's a full house at Wytch Wood this bank holiday weekend. But we're guessing you'd never know it. If you want to get to know your neighbours - great! You can make some great friends on camping trips. And if you'd rather keep yourself to yourself, well that's fine too. We give you the space to decide.

No music. No dogs. Quiet after 10pm. Just the steam, the birds and the wind in the trees.

Pitch 16 Hidden Dell is unique at Wytch Wood and pretty unique anywhere! This generous pitch beside the stream, occupies a whole section of the woods and can take up to 3 small tents. Designed for families or small groups who want to hang out together but enjoy their own space. The 3 pitching areas are perfect for 1 and 2 man tents, and with one slightly bigger space.

The mature trees mean it can be used for hammock tents or just hanging out in a hammock!

As with all pitches at Wytch Wood, you will have your own seating area, firepit with grill and compost loo. Plus use of the hot showers with products, washing up area, and all communal areas.

You can book Hidden Dell from 1 night. Sleeps 1-6 people.

Ever been on a bat walk? 🦇

Bat appreciation day was this week - but we like to celebrate our nocturnal neighbours year round!

This will be our third year of running bat walks at Wytch Wood. These evenings ended up being some of the most memorable moments at Wytch Wood.

Guided by ecologist, Jessica Cole, you’ll head out at dusk with a bat detector, learn how they navigate, and (once you tune in) realise just how many are flying above you.

It’s a fascinating insight into these little creatures and brings everyone together to learn something new and get a little bit closer to nature.
