Cracking day today at St Fillans, just 12 miles from the cottage. Started with a 6 mile walk to Dalchonzie and back, lovely surprise when we reached Dalchonzie and discovered cakes for sale with an honesty box. Then it was over to Loch Earn for a wild swim for me, Hugh and Reggie….Callie just had a paddle. Before we went home we drove the short distance to visit Still who was returned to Loch Earn after an 8 year absence

The weather hasn’t been kind for the first week of our holiday but we’ve made the most of it. Reggie’s still managed a swim almost every day in the River Earn while Callie has just paddled. We visited St Andrews one day (to escape the rain!), it’s just 49 miles from Crieff and today we visited Dollar Glen and climbed Bank Hill. Crieff is a great base as it’s so central. So far we’ve also visited The Steading Cafe and sat outside, (inside is also dog friendly) and yesterday the sun shone for a while so we sat in the beer garden at The Tower bar, although Reggie preferred the flower bed!
From tomorrow the sun should be shining! 🤞☀️

We have arrived at Tigh Chluaidh for our own 2 week holiday. Looking forward to adventures and some relaxation too. Callie & Reggie have found some shade, Hugh is tidying up the garden, and me…I’m sunbathing ☀️

We have a new addition to the family! Meet Reggie our 9 week old German Shorthaired Pointer. Can’t wait to introduce him to all the beautiful walks in Crieff when he’s ready. If you have a dog and enjoy walking then Crieff is a brilliant option and all pubs and cafes are dog friendly too.
