Having the double bedrooom plastered and decorated. We have also renewed the electrics and putting in a new carpet and furniture. Should be completed by the end of November 2022

As 2020 draws to a close we still have availability for our guests to enjoy a winter staycation. It has been a tough year for the hospitality and tourism sector. We are hope 2021 will be a good year.

We are delighted that Avonlea self-catering can welcome guests again ‪from 3 July‬, this is great news.

Scotland’s self-caterers were among the first to close as we entered lockdown and and now we’re poised to open.

We are implementing stringent, robust, and comprehensive cleaning protocols, which are backed by the Scottish Government. So we can safely and securely open our property and go back to providing our guests with first class breaks.

We are monitoring what the Scottish Government advice is regarding the opening of self-catering sector.

Yesterday afternoon’s ministerial statement on economic recovery (2nd June), Murdo Fraser once again highlighted the need to allow self-catering to open up during Phase 2 with social distancing and cleaning protocols in place.

Currently self-catering is lumped together with hotels and B&B’s. Hopefully we will be allowed to open soon.
