It's been a fabulous week on the water with Dolphins, Porpoise and our first Minke of the season. And our first little jumplings are down off the cliffs now. ❤️

We are also gauging interest in running some occasional longer sailings (3 hours approx) which would allow us to cover more ground and a better chance to spot whales. These sailings would be very weather dependent but if you would like to register interest pop an email to [email protected] and then we can hold a list of folks that are keen for this type of trip. They'd be run early evening or early morning.

No further sign of the S***m Whales which is good news. Plenty of Dolphin action however!

Didn't think we'd ever be writing 6 S***m Whales up on the sightings board.... Huge thank you to Gordie Bryce for spotting them for us. This picture was taken from a good distance away as we obviously didn't want to cause them any disturbance. Last heard of making their way east.

Happy 20th Birthday EcoVentures! 🎉

It is somewhat hard to believe but it is exactly 20 years to the day that we ran our first trip. It was with a huge mixture of excitement, nerves and ultimately relief that we ventured out that morning. I remember it like yesterday. It had been 12 months of planning, desperately trying to raise the capital to start, and pushing to get the build completed in time to make the most of the summer season.

There have certainly been challenging times over the years as with any small business but the rewards have been more than worth it. It has been a privilege to enjoy so many amazing trips, experiences and wildlife encounters with so many of you over these past 20 years. Some of you who joined us on trips right back at the very beginning and have continued to visit. (You know who you are!)

I have also been incredibly fortunate to have the most amazing, talented, knowledgeable and passionate team, and family behind me who always go above and beyond to keep EcoVentures running smoothly and delivering trips to the highest standards. I am so grateful to each and every one of them.

The biggest heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this last 20 years. Here's to many more years out on the water doing what we love.
