It's that time of year again – the Designer Travel Conference💚💜

This year we're heading to Crete for three nights, and I'm looking forward to being hosted by Grecotel. It will be fantastic to experience a couple of their properties that I've recommended over the years. 🏨✨

The conference is a highlight of the year, bringing together colleagues, friends, and supplier partners for a chance to reconnect, share ideas, and hear about the latest Travel industry updates. It’s also an opportunity for our directors to reflect on the past year’s achievements and unveil their exciting plans and ambitions for the year ahead. 📈🤝

I'll be heading to Manchester Airport on Monday and flying out early on Tuesday morning, returning to my desk on Saturday. ✈️

Now, here's hoping for plenty of Greek sunshine and hopefully a little time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings too! ☀️🌊🍹

8 years ago today, I was lucky enough to be exploring Machu Picchu in Peru! It was a true pinch-me moment and is still one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had.

I’ve just spent 3 amazing nights at the beautiful Anda Barut Collection in Didim with some of my lovely colleagues, and this resort has completely exceeded my expectations 🌴😊

This was my first ever visit to Türkiye and I can genuinely say I was pleasantly surprised. The people were so welcoming, the atmosphere was lovely and I felt completely safe and relaxed throughout the entire trip ✨

Anda Barut Collection is split into two completely different experiences, an adults-only zone and a family zone. The adults-only area offers calm, serene pools and such a peaceful atmosphere, whilst the family section has a much livelier feel with beautiful pools, waterslides, funfairs and plenty going on for all ages 💦

The rooms are huge, modern and beautifully designed, with options including swim-up suites, interconnecting family rooms and the stunning Bayou Villas. The little extras really stood out too, like fully stocked mini bars, bathrobes, slippers and even hair straighteners provided 👌

The food and drinks throughout our stay have been incredible. There are 7 fantastic à la carte restaurants, endless sweet treats at the patisserie and whilst relaxing around the pool your cocktails are delivered on rollerblades!🍹

Another bonus is that Altinkum is only around 15 minutes away, perfect for shopping, bars, restaurants and a stroll along the beachfront promenade.

Feeling very lucky and excited to be heading off tomorrow to the beautiful 5⭐ Anda Barut Collection in Turkey with some of my lovely Designer Travel colleagues ✈️☀️

I honestly can’t believe I’ve never been to Turkey before, so I’m really looking forward to finally experiencing it for myself and discovering the stunning Delice Peninsula for the first time.

I’m away for 4 nights and back at my desk on Wednesday afternoon. I’ll have my laptop and phone with me and will be working ad hoc while I’m away, please do bear with me though as replies may take a little longer than usual.

✈️ Travel Update For Customers Travelling To The EU 🌍

Just a quick update for anyone travelling soon through some of the busier airports 😊

🔹 Longer Border Control Queues
There may be longer queues than usual at border control while the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is being introduced and fully embedded.

🔹 What is EES?
The new system includes biometric registration, such as fingerprints and a facial image and processing times may vary during this transition period.

🔹 Package Holidays with Transfers
If you’re travelling on a package holiday with transfers included, overseas teams will be keeping a close eye on things and helping to make sure you get to the airport in good time. Once you arrive, please head straight to border control.

🔹 Own Transfers or Car Hire
If you have arranged your own transfer or car hire, please allow extra time to arrive at the airport.

🔹 On the Day of Travel
To help make your journey more comfortable in case of delays, I recommend:
✔️ Carrying any essential medication in your hand luggage
✔️ Bringing extra water with you
