Specialists in elevating & high roofs, supplying both private and trade customers. We also still do full conversions on smaller vehicles. David and Joanne Waring started the company in David's father's textile mill in Skipton, Yorkshire, at at time when textiles had become a dying trade in this country. David had been building the occasional motorhome in his spare time for family holidays. In the

beginning looms ran in one side of the mill and motorhomes were being built at the other side ! Gradually the looms were removed and by 1994 only motorhomes were being built at the mill. In 1995 Drivelodge moved to a more suitable industrial unit with a sales forecourt in Crosshills, just 4 miles from the present mill premises and were soon producing 4 - 5 vehicles a month. After 6 years David realised that he was spending more time overseeing the building of motorhomes rather than building them himself, so in 2001 it was decided to move to the current premises so David could be 'hands on' again. During their time building the business David and Joanne have had three children, all of whom are often seen at the workshops and so help maintain the family atmosphere. Customers come from all parts of the U.K, much of the business is from word of mouth, and some are having second motorhomes built by Drivelodge. The Warings still take family holidays in their own purpose built motorhome, designed and constructed to their own family needs of course ! It is David and Joanne's intention to carry on the tradition of giving customers the freedom to design the motorhome of their choice, giving flexibility and making the process an enjoyable experience.

WE’RE HIRING

Drivelodge is growing and we’re looking for TWO new people to join our workshop team in Crosshills, Keighley.

We currently have vacancies for:

🔹 Workshop Assembly Technician
🔹 Metalwork Fabricator / Workshop Technician

These are hands-on, full-time roles within our manufacturing team, helping build high-quality campervan roof systems supplied across the UK.

We’re looking for reliable, practical people who enjoy working with their hands, take pride in quality workmanship and want to be part of a long-established and growing business.

Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, engineering or workshop environments is beneficial, but attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

- Full-time permanent roles
- Monday–Friday working hours

We’re looking for a Sewing Room Assistant to join our team at Drivelodge, helping prepare materials for our campervan roofs.

This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent daytime hours that fit around school runs or family commitments.

About the Role:
You’ll be working within our sewing room, supporting our seamstresses by preparing canvas materials ready for production. This includes:
- Cutting out canvas to set patterns
- Preparing and organising materials
- Carrying out basic prep work to support the sewing team
- Keeping your work area tidy and organised

No sewing experience is required — full training will be provided.

What We’re Looking For:
- A reliable and punctual individual
- Good attention to detail
- Someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
