The latest arrivals for Wychwood Cottage.

Yesterday, Ethel successfully hatched six ducklings. Hopefully, in a few weeks they will be large enough to start exploring the fields.
If you are lucky you may be able to spot them! 🦆

I think Scruffy was just as excited as we were!

Polly Joke is the quietest local beach within walking distance from Wychwood Cottage.
Throughout the year the dog-friendly beach is an oasis of calm, along with the surrounding Cubert Common which is home to an abundant array of native wildlife.

Polly Joke is only accessible by foot.
The National Trust carpark is the closest carpark to Polly Joke at around a distance of 0.4 miles.
The footpath from the carpark to the beach is fairly level and mirrors the stream which stems from a spring all the way in the woodland at Wychwood Cottage.
Alternatively, follow the footpaths across Cubert Common towards the beach which is a distance of 1.6 miles from Wychwood Cottage.

It is important to note that Polly Joke has no toilet or catering amenities.
The beach is also not lifeguarded and so particular care needs to be taken in the sea.

The West Pentire Headland is renowned for its magnificant display of poppies from late May through to early July.
This can make a lovely evening walk from Wychwood Cottage.

Wychwood Cottage is a beautifully restored, grade II listed, 18th century thatched cottage tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Trevail. The cottage lovingly combines old with new, retaining its natural charm and character throughout whilst providing a cosy and comfortable place to unwind from the everyday routines.

A luxurious family bathroom, a stunning bespoke kitchen and an open plan living / dining room provides you with all the modern-day comforts you may need. The cottage sleeps up to four people with one double bed and two full-size single beds.

A maximum of two well-behaved furry friends are welcome to enjoy the enclosed garden and off-street parking is provided for two vehicles.

Perfectly situated in rural Cornwall, a short 10-minute walk to the Southwest Coastal Path and the local beaches of Holywell, Polly Joke and Crantock.

We invite you to experience the calming and tranquil qualities of Wychwood Cottage and its surroundings.
