Port of Cromarty Firth Invergordon Off the Wall and Invergordon Museum have launched this fantastic Duck Trail in Invergordon. It’s a way of discovering the lovely shops, cafes and other hidden gems on the trail.

Today I popped into Tanstar Gifts & I purchased a duck to accompany me on my walks and help promote the Trail.

I also received the very cute wee duck from Tanstar Gifts and I will be encouraging my guests to pop into the shop and see if they can find one of their own hidden in the shop, so I now have two ducks that will be walking Invergordon with me.

Two fantastic walking tours in Invergordon today with guests from the Rotterdam, who thoroughly enjoyed learning the history of Invergordon.

The sun kept shining and once I put my jacket back on, the rain held off. Lots of laughs. Plenty of questions and everyone seemed delighted with the first stop on their tour.

What a month May was - 42 walking tours split between Inverness, Invergordon and Cromarty. June is also looking good, with more and more bookings for my Hidden History walks in Invergordon and on the Black Isle.

I've met so many lovely people and look forward to meeting many more of you.

When you're first starting out with a new project, there's always a balance required between accepting work from other agencies and keeping dates free for your own walks, but seeing the way June is developing, in July, I'm going to take a bit of a gamble and keep all the cruise ship days free for Invergordon walking tours.

Any help in spreading the word would be much appreciated or better still, join me on a tour.

Invergordon is not just for cruise passengers as proved by Lisa and Merv who joined me for a Hidden History Walking Tour of Invergordon. They are on their way around the NC500. They had heard of the murals, Lisa is a Worlds Strongest Man fan and Merv is interested in wartime history so Invergordon ticked all the boxes. We spent a lovely, late afternoon walk exploring Invergordon and its hidden history.

As our tour was coming to an end, we stopped to watch the Norwegian Star departing Invergordon.

Having spent a rather chilly week taking tours in Inverness for Walking Tours in Inverness it was lovely to get back to Invergordon this afternoon to show visitors from Mein Schiff 2 around Invergordon.

I had a lovely group who had all become firm friends by the end of the tour. The sun shone for us which was great.

Two of my group were young parents who said it was great to be able to visit Invergordon as coach and bus tours are not so easy with a wriggly one year old. They had already been to Clootie Mctoot Community Investment Cafe where they had enjoyed some great coffee.

The last stop on my tour is the wonderful Invergordon Museum and as I left my group, they were heading inside for a visit.

I’m looking forward to doing a lot more tours in Invergordon over the summer.

A few weeks back, I had the pleasure of showing Darryl and his wife around Fortrose. It was my first Hidden History walking tour for Fortrose. Having discovered Black Isle Guides on google, I also discovered this lovely review left by Darryl. (Now let's see if it has actually shared 🙂)
