It has an Old World charm and is a comfortable, traditional small holding. Set on a gentle hillside in the centre of the Blackdown Hills, we are a within a landscape of a forgotten time. Small fields with stone filled hedge banks and narrow lanes are just one of the features. Here in our family home, we offer you a choice of a king ensuite and/or double rooms with private bathrooms. The bathrooms

have claw feet baths and all showers are power showers. High speed internet is available throughout the property and in the lovely gardens, even beside the heated swimming pool. We have our own private spring water supply which is kind to your skin and makes our bread taste wonderful. All foods are locally sourced, completely free range and the bacon and sausages are from the pigs you can see on the hillside. The property is completely enclosed by farmland, yet has a well maintained drive and plenty of secure parking.

I found all these in flower in the garden over the weekend, except for the cow parsley which was flowering away in the hedgerow just up the road. Such a mild winter so far....among them are Daphne, Hamameles, Rosemary, Helebore, H**e, Winter Jasmine, Lonicera, Primrose, Cyclamen, and the brief flowering, but with such a fragile beauty, Iris Unguicularis. See if you can spot the little ladybird asleep in the Cheanomeles bud! Could be in for a rude awakening!
