Slàinte Mhath to Burns Night!

Did you know Dunfermline’s got its own wee nod to Rabbie Burns? In the grounds of Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries, you’ll find the statues of Tam O' Shanter and his old pal Souter Johnnie, carved in 1823 by Robert Forrest.

One of the earliest stone tributes to Burns 💙

Have you visited the newest cafe in Dunfermline yet? If not say hello to Fern Cafe on Douglas Street - it's definitely the type of place you don't want to leave.

Cosy vibes, lovely people and a seriously (we mean seriously) good hot chocolate ☕🤤🍫

Only one week left to visit this fantastic exhibition in Dunfermline.

A Journey Through Dunfermline by local artist Charlie Marshall is currently showing at Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries.

The exhibition brings together paintings of the city, from the Abbey and Palace ruins to familiar streets and landmarks

Alongside the exhibition, there are some brilliant extras:
✅A free family fun trail around the historic quarter
✅Primary school art competition winners displayed in the gallery

If you’re looking for something a bit different to do this week, this is well worth a visit! Learn more on their website: https://www.wasbruce.co.uk/a-journey-through-dunfermline/

The Community Gallery has been busy this weekend with visitors keen to see Charlie Marshall's exhibition, 'A Journey Through Dunfermline'. We couldn't resist asking Charlie to pose next to one of our favourites as he set things up last week. The details in this painting of a bustling Bridge Street almost make you feel like you're there. Swift one at the Seven Kings, anyone? 😉

A Journey Through Dunfermline runs until 21 January 2026. Entrance is free.

Utopia, Scottish photographer Adam Geary, brings together photographs capturing the everyday stories of our towns and cities as they shift, adapt and reinvent themselves.

Many of the images were made right here in Dunfermline and across Fife, offering a familiar view through a different lens.

The Glen looks incredible in Winter and the old steam engine always feels extra atmospheric on winter nights.

Did you know this wee “Pug” once worked in the Fife coal industry before settling here in 1988? Thanks to volunteers it’s still a much-loved part of the park today.

A cosy winter walk must-see🚂❄

Created by 10-year-old artist Katherine Zoroa-Vecchiarelli, it’s a brilliant showcase of young local talent and the setting couldn’t be more beautiful 💙

The exhibition is free and open 10am–5pm until 7th December.
