£31,000–£37,000 pro rata
Do you love working outdoors with children and young people?
Water Park is a 65-acre residential outdoor education centre on the shores of Coniston Water. We work mainly with young people from deprived areas across the North West, delivering high-quality, adventurous residential programmes.
We’re looking for an Outdoor Tutor / Instructor to join our tutorial team and work directly with groups throughout their stay — leading activities, building relationships, and helping young people get the most from their time with us.
🔹 The role includes:
✅ Delivering a wide range of outdoor activities
✅ Working with groups on multi-day residential courses
✅ Creating safe, inclusive and engaging learning experiences
✅ Delivering RYA and other NGB courses (where qualified)
✅ Contributing to the day-to-day running of a busy residential centre
🔹 You’ll be a good fit if you:
• Enjoy working with children and young people
• Are confident outdoors and adaptable to different groups
• Are calm, professional and safety-focused
• Care about the wider value of outdoor education
• Like being part of a supportive, practical team
🔹 Useful (but not essential) qualifications:
• RYA Dinghy / Windsurf / Wingsurf Instructor
• BC Paddlesport, Mountain Training, BCA awards
• D1 driving licence
• Outdoor or education-related qualifications
