Our trips last for 3 hours and your guide Daphne is born and bred on Exmoor, she is the daughter of a local Exmoor farming family and has an abundance of local knowledge, so please be sure to ask her questions about the things you see. The safaris also cover the areas popularized by local character Johnny Kingdom in his BBC2 series βA Year on Exmoorβ. Our tours start from Dulverton, Exford and Dunster, with a pick up point in Wheddon Cross too. Barle Valley Safaris has been operating since 1998 and carries 2,000 visitors a year to explore the Exmoor National Park. We operate our tours from three pick up points, Dulverton, Exford and Dunster. Tours start at 9.30am and 2pm and last for approximately 3 hours. during the summer months an evening tour is also offered by prior arrangement. Day tours are also available again by prior arrangement. Binoculars are available in the vehicle. Well behaved dogs are allowed by prior arrangement.
