📍 Here’s the newest confirmed situation about air travel in the Middle East:

⚠️ What’s happening?

Following joint U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran early today, several Middle Eastern countries have closed or restricted their airspace due to security concerns. This is causing widespread flight cancellations, suspensions, and reroutes.

🛑 Airspace Status (Current):
❌ Closed to civilian flights:
• Iran
• Iraq
• Kuwait
• Bahrain
• Qatar
• Israel
• Syria

⚠️ Partially Closed / Highly Disrupted:

• United Arab Emirates (Dubai & Abu Dhabi) – Airspace is technically partially closed as a precautionary measure and flights are halted or suspended indefinitely, with no regular commercial service operating right now.

📉 Flight Operations Impact:

* Major hubs like Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC) have halted passenger flights, and Emirates along with other carriers have suspended operations.

* International airlines including British Airways, Lufthansa, Air India, Emirates, Qatar Airways and more are cancelling or rerouting flights to avoid the affected airspace.

🧭 What This Means for Travelers:

• Check your airline status now – flights may be cancelled or rerouted with little notice.

• Expect longer travel times on rerouted flights.

• Contact your airline for rebooking or refunds.
• If you’re currently in the region, follow official travel advisories and avoid airports unless your flight is confirmed.
