Staying with us puts you right in the heart of Dartmouth, with the River Dart ready to explore. There’s plenty to do out on the water! Boat trips, kayaking, self‑drive hire or simply hopping on one of the Dart Pleasure Craft boats.

On our latest outing we passed Dartmouth Castle, spotted seals sunning themselves on a pontoon, watched wildlife along the banks and glided past Agatha Christie’s house and boathouse. And if you get the tide right, you can even head all the way up to Totnes.

From the vantage point of both 'Lauriston House' and 'The Lookout', the Terra Marique makes a striking entrance this morning as she eases into the harbour, her tug Duchess guiding her steadily through.

It’s not every day a semi‑submersible barge glides past 'The Lookout', and watching her arrive feels like witnessing a small piece of industrial theatre unfold on the river this morning!
