Summer is still hanging - Mediterranean Small Plates this weekend the perfect end to the summer!

Wow this weather is amazing… almost feels like we’re in the Mediterranean this September!

And this weekend The Sail Loft Dartmouth we will feed you like you are too!

GUEST CHEF the amazing The Greedy Table are back and taking over our KITCHEN this Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd September & will be serving THE most delicious Mediterranean inspired Small plates from 6-8pm.

So grab your family & friends and get a group together for a great night out! Booking is highly recommended but walk-in’s are welcome.

& the icing on the cake… Revered local DJ Rowan Mayer-Hughes, known for his eclectic sets and main room bangers returns on Friday night playing Nu-school, House, Techouse and Techno from 8.30pm….definitely not one to be missed! 🎧🎶

Our gorgeous local beach, Blackpool Sands, only a 15 minute walk down the hill from The Old Butchers Stoke Fleming, opens up to dogs again Sunday 1st October, so you stay in our dog friendly studio AND have a beautiful beach to take your furry friend too. Win win!

BATHING WATER STATUS AT WARFLEET CREEK

We are working with Friends Of The Dart to establish Bathing Water Status at Warfleet Creek.

Achieving Bathing Water Status means there will be increased monitoring at Warfleet Creek and is a commitment to increase and maintain the water quality of our river.

As part of the application process, we need to count 100 people bathing or paddling at Warfleet Creek on 2 days before the end of September.

The first day we will be counting on is Monday 28th August (bank holiday Monday) from 2pm until 6:30pm.

The second day is Sunday 10th September where we will be counting from 12pm until 4pm.

We will need to take some “distance” photos as evidence but will ask first.

If you are swimming out of those times but on the 28th August or 10th September, please log your Warfleet activity by following this link and completing the short form

The nights are closing in and autumn is well and truly here. It is so much quieter in the South Hams now, but now is the perfect time to visit beautiful South Devon. GREEN DRAGON OPENING HOURS THIS WEEKEND.

Opening Hours on Friday 8th July and Sunday 10th July
We will be closing the pub at 5pm on Friday 8th &
6pm on Sunday 10th July to enable our staff to take a well deserved break & enjoy the festival at the beach, before the busy summer season begins!
We will be opening at 10am on both days to serve BREAKFAST,
coffee, tea and the BAR will be OPEN from 11am.
Saturday 9th we will operate our normal opening hours for bar and food.

We love our local village shop & post office! Full of lovely things, & even lovelier owners!

Where is the summer?! Hopefully it arrives ready for Tunes on the Sands… we are getting ready for a busy weekend next week. We will be fully stocked of alcohol, soft drinks etc. but for the mornings don’t forget we have croissants, coffees, pasties and will be doing sausage and bacon rolls….
