Good Morning All. Unfortunately I am having to cease trading with immediate effect.
This is a decision I have not taken lightly however it has become evident over the last few weeks that this venture is not a sensible, long term financially viable option for myself and my family.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my customers and cheerleaders throughout this chapter of my life. You have all been amazing and I could not have done ANY OF IT without you!
I am forever grateful for the opportunity to start and run my own business. It is something that I had considered for a long time and it is something that I am glad I have experienced in my life as I think it would have been one of those "What if?" moments of my life in years to come if I had not.
The main reason for the failing is I simply cannot be competitive in todays market. Price parity is non-existent with the majority of major suppliers, thus meaning that my margins have gone from 10%-12% per booking down to 2%. For a business to survive on that I would need 30-40 active bookings per month (400 per year). This would be to simply make a wage. This is not an option for myself.
Those that have known me a while, will know and appreciate that my professional career has been aligned to Customer Experience and Customer Management. This is what I will be returning to on Monday 3rd November on a Full Time basis still within The Travel Industry.
