Had the most wonderful stay at The Secret Garden celebrating a 21st Birthday. The team were so helpful throughout our stay. The entertainment space was absolutely incredible! Amazing hot tub and the games and cinema screens were so much fun. Beds were so comfy and the shower was lovely. Will definitely be staying again in the future!

🏰 One of Donaghadee’s hidden gems is open once again!

Known locally as The Moat, Donaghadee Motte dates back to the late 12th century and remains one of the town’s most important historic landmarks. Perched on top is the beautifully restored Gunpowder Store, originally built around 1821 during the construction of the harbour.

Following a major conservation and restoration project, this unique heritage site is now open to visitors, offering incredible views across Donaghadee Harbour and beyond.

If you’ve never been inside, this is a fantastic opportunity to explore a piece of local history right on our doorstep.

Booking for a group gets much easier when the stay already makes sense. The Hideaway has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 guests, which means you can spread the cost without settling for somewhere basic. Book direct, lock in the dates, and give the group something better than another maybe-next-month plan.

Stayed in The Secret Garden Donaghadee for a girls night away mid week at the end of May, this place is amazing. Beautifully decorated and finished to a high standard, kitchen has everything you need. Plenty of comfortable beds to accommodate the 5 of us, could sleep up to 7.Outdoor space was amazing, lovely seating area with gas fire. Entertainment room at back of property was fantastic, it had a sauna, hot tub, pool table and arcade games.Place was clean and well maintained. Very handy to local bars, restaurants and shops, we ate in Grace Neills which was just a few doors up and food was delicious.Will definitely be back and can’t wait to try the sister property which is only a few doors up.

The first few minutes tell you everything. At The Secret Garden, you do not spend half the trip waiting to feel relaxed. The calm kicks in early, the setting does the heavy lifting, and suddenly the weekend feels like a proper escape instead of just time off.

Had the most amazing girls trip here ! The house has been beautifully refurbed and finished to a very high standard. There was plenty of space inside and out for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves.The hot tub and sauna were fantastic and made our stay extra special, while the pool table provided lots of fun. Everything was spotless.We couldn't have asked for a better place for a girls getaway and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stylish and relaxing stay. Will definitely be back !

It is the kind of stay that changes the mood fast, helps the week fall off your back, and makes the break feel worth booking from night one. If you are deciding between somewhere standard and somewhere that actually helps you switch off, this is the better choice.
