After previously working for Doncaster NHS Wheelchair Services for many years business partners Mick Parkin and Steve Prescott decided to form their own company retailing Healthcare and Mobility related equipment, hence the foundation of Abbey Healthcare. Whilst working for the NHS Mick and Steve worked alongside many Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Rehabilitation Engineers and other Healthcare Professionals. With their knowledge of equipment, understanding clients needs and years of technical experience Abbey Healthcare's policy is to offer a truly professional assessment, sales and after sales service. In the year 2000 Abbey Healthcare decided to concentrate more on the Specialist seating and equipment side of the business. This involves joint visits with various Healthcare Professionals to find and supply the correct equipment for their client's needs. Abbey Healthcare have now become one of the leading suppliers of specialist seating in the North of England covering all Yorkshire, Notts, Derbyshire, Lincs and surrounding areas.
