Mirror mirror on the wall, which cottage has had the biggest transformation of all? 🤔

Is it Melstock? Since our family started running Greenwood Grange, this cottage has been treated to:

• New flooring throughout - horrible old tiles replaced with warm and aesthetically pleasing LVT. Better for doggy paws too!

• Old arm chairs and sofa replaced with brand new comfy sofas 😍

• Squeaky old bunk bed replaced with a new triple sleeper bunk bed 🛌

• New radiators to replace the ancient inefficient ones that had all the paint flaking off

• New photos done in house. The before shots were done by professionals but we wanted more control of our images.

If you are staying with us over a weekend make sure to pop down to Weymouth Beach to do some free yoga with the lovely Frankie! Everyone is welcome 🥰 just bring a mat 🧘🏼‍♀️

These guys have a stall at Dorchester market on a Wednesday and in Dorchester town centre on a Thursday. Only 10 mins drive from Greenwood Grange, check them out!

What do we have at Greenwood Grange? When you come to us you can find.

🌳 7acres of landscaped and natural gardens, perfect for playing hide and seek or spot the bugs.

🐝 Pond and wildlife field - this is where our lovely bee hives are located. We love bees and have restored this area from the overgrown mess it was when we took over. Our long term plan is to plant it with lots of lovely flowers for the bees

🎾 two tennis courts - perfect for a family match or couples challenge! These are well used and we even have guests playing badminton on there too!

🛝 Montessori play room - this has had a big upgrade since we took over and has been filled with lots of lovely Montessori toys for kids to learn and play! We get great feedback from this room now and we are so happy with how it’s coming along.

🎱 games room with pool table, bar billiards and table tennis. This room is well used by adults and teenagers as well as kids. A great family gathering place, there are comfy sofas and lots of games and puzzles that guests can take back to their cottages for their stay.

Melchester 🥀 named after Thomas Hardy’s fictional town, this cottage started life as a farm building built by Thomas Hardy’s father in the 1800s.

Now it is a beautifully renovated 2 bed cottage with access to the most beautiful walks in Dorset. Throw open the French doors and it’s only a short walk across the lawn to access the hot tubs 🫧

Who needs a children’s farm when you have this on your doorstep? 😍 these sheep live on an ancient hill fort built in the Iron Ages and steeped in history. Parking is free and easy and buggies can get through the kissing gates with a bit of wiggling. We took our trusty off-road nipper. Bring a coffee and enjoy the views 🐑
