No filter needed! I had an absolutely amazing day walking with Nick and his friends from Ballyhornan to Ardglass on Sunday. Nick came across me on Countryfile and decided then that he wanted me to guide him and his friends for his 60th birthday present to himself! It truly was a pleasure guiding them. What do you define as a castle? Kilclief is a tower house built between 1413 and 1443 by Bishop John Sely. Around these parts we call them castles and it’s one of a number around Lecale and Ards. Its design is a little too perfect to to be for defense and I think its more a show of status
