💈It’s no secret that times are tough on High Streets at the moment & Dromore is no different, but despite the challenges Dromore’s business owners are opening up everyday & providing locals with the best they can offer.

In Dromore we are lucky enough to be full of independent, family run & long established businesses that we can be proud of. Dromore has retained a magic that clone towns full of multinationals & charity shops are envious of. I’m not naive, Dromore has its issues with occupancy rates & eye sore areas, however we see new businesses opening up & putting their trust in Dromore to support it, that means something!

In this current climate, owning a business requires resilience, nerve & determination 💪 As customers we don’t see the half of what local business owners do to keep the doors open - the food prep late into the evening, the bills that need paid, the books that need balanced, the emails that need answered, buildings that need maintenance, the childcare that needs arranged, the social media accounts that need updated, the street front that needs swept & the shelves that need filled 😅 but they doing it willingly & with a love for what they do, it’s truly inspiring!

📍DESTINATION DROMORE 🗺️ Dromore is (literally) on the Map

Sometimes a group of people get together & magic happens 🪄 Thanks to Melanie Bond Boutique Bethel's Kitchen // Willetta G Designwithbeth Dromore now has its first Food & Retail Map 🗺️ The first in a series of maps for our wonderful Historic Town of Dromore!

✨So, what is this all about?
Dromore has so many creative independent & family businesses & we need the world to know about them! Not many towns can boast that they have an authentic bagel maker, a milliner Halo Studio, a bookshop Bridge Books, a bow tie factory Belfast Bow Company, a fly fishing shop Kindale Fly Fishing, a bike shop, an excellent choice of coffee stops & THEE Grahams Ice-Cream Dromore (to name but a few).

👩🏻‍🎨 Beth has created a beautiful map that will both signpost & show off the food & retail businesses that Dromore has to offer and it WILL BE REVEALED in spectacular Dromore style ⤵️

❓What happens next?
🗾 The Map is going to be turned into a postcard size print for businesses to sell as a keepsake for visitors & send out with online orders so that we can begin our mission to make Dromore a destination town.

🔲 We’re hoping to reveal a ‘bigger’ use of the Map on the launch night, one that we didn’t really believe was possible 🙈 let’s just say Dromore will be the talk of everyone ‘round & about’ the area if we pull this off 🤫

Dromore is capable of so much. It can be a destination town once more, a place to enjoy visiting, living, working & thriving in!
