For the brave new world opening up to use after Covid we have invested in some new lounge furniture and a new refrigerator, we’ll have to update some of our pictures.

It is quite busy, and with a 72 hour Covid safe hour gap between even the shortest of stays our capacity is much reduced.

To secure a booking you’ll have to be quick.

We have one week only available in July and a couple of weeks each in September and October, then that’s it until the colder seasons arrive during November and December.

I am pleased to be able to tell you that we are now investing just a little faith in the future, as we have started to take bookings once again.

Deep cleaning and leaving a minimum of two days between occupants, we are delighted to be receiving guests again from 1st September onwards.

We've just had a cancellation, which is a rare thing.

We now have availability at a popular time just prior to peak season.

Bag a week long bargain break 28 June to 5 July only £300 for four people.

No extra charges as there is free WiFi, included bedding, towels, heating and electric.

Bookings for 2019 are coming in thick and fast. Holding our prices constant since 2016 is proving popular, but we won't be able to keep it that way for ever.

We are vey happy that 2018 was just as successful as 2017. With almost seven years behind us we're now seeing quite a few return visitors, so we must be doing something right.

2019 is booking up fast, with June almost fully booked already.

We are very pleased to say that 2018 is looking to be another record breaking year for RiverView Cottage.

TripAdvisor have even awarded us not one, but two certificates of excellence. Do take look at our ratings there, we recommend booking direct to get the best rates though.

There is still time to book for this year. We think that autumn and winter in the Highlands is one of the best times. The stags are magnificent and the colours are stunning.

All of our rates have just been published for 2018.

Pleased to say that, for direct bookings only, we have been able to keep our prices unchanged from 2017.

We are proud to say that 2017 is turning out to be our most successful year ever, with income up 15% on last year and bookings for 2018 already beginning to roll in.

RiverView is held in a trust solely for the benefit of young brothers Ashley and Alex. All income is used to fund their education. With Ashley studying sport and playing Basketball full time at college in Bristol. Whilst Alex, a budding scientist, takes his Scottish National grade exams this year - we hope that the summer time visit to NASA will prove to be suitably inspiring for all the hard work soon to come.

None of this would be possible without the patronage of our many lovely guests, to whom we are able to entrust the care of our wee cottage whilst they tour and adventure around the Highlands.

For the added comfort and convenience of our guests, we've just fitted a new Nest Thermostat which will also help make us even more efficient and environmentally friendly. So far it's turning out to be very a useful addition.
