Two jobs in bellsmyre this week, just across the road from each other! Happy days 😁🌳🌲

First was an Apple tree that we're going to get back to producing lots of tasty apples!! It's been neglected for a few years, so this was just a tidy up prune. Removing crossing, dead, dying and diseased branches. Also downward facing branches so they don't sag as much when fruiting. And either next year or the following depending on how the tree is doing, we'll give it a fruiting prune. 🍎🌳😁

The second job was a bit more straightforward. Removing two small conifers and reducing and trimming another. 🌳🌲🌴

More storm damage, yay!!! 😄

2 Large multi-stemmed conifers failed and fell over 3 gardens and phonelines! 🌳🌲🌴

The team spent 3 days clearing everything up making sure we never caused any more damage. All woodchip and logs were recycled locally. 🌳🌲🌴

Out in gartocharn today, dealing with some dangerous birches in a private woodland. A nice wee mixture of felling, polesawing and climbing. 🌳🌲🌴

This was my first job when I decided to go fully out on my own. So it was nice to come back and see the progress made by the clients. 🌳🌲🌴

Here at Monkey Puzzle Tree Surgery, we believe in helping the community whenever possible.

During the mayhem of the storms, in-between dealing with our own emergency work, we managed to help Police Scotland to keep the A82 open between lomondgate and stoneymollen roundabout. By clearing fallen trees to allow traffic and the emergency services through! 💪🏻

It was a nice wee suprise to get this letter in today. 😁

Job we undertook near Cumbernauld lately 🌳🎄🌴

Unfortunately for this customer, the neighbours trees had been neglected for years making the garden unusable. And when one of the branches failed recently they gave us a call. 🌳🎄🌴

We cut it all back to the boundary wall so there was nothing overhanging that section of garden. The client may even get use of her whirlygig again🌳🎄🌴

We reduced this lime tree for a client in Dumbarton 🌳🎄🌴

The tree had a fair amount of deadwood at the tips of the branches and it kept dropping bits in high winds. So we carried out a full reduction making sure all branches were safe for any future storms we may have.🌳🎄🌴

Dangerous sycamore we removed in Silverton recently.🌳🌲🌴

It didn't look too bad initially (apart from all the ivy) so we had planned on climbing it. But once we got up into it, we quickly realised it was in worse condition than we initially thought. So we rescheduled it to take it down using a cherry picker. Better safe than sorry 🌳🌲🌴
