The beautiful nearby village of New Abbey a great tourist trail. The village is home to walks up Criffel hill, Sweetheart Abbey, New Abbey Corn Mill, shops and tearoom and is on the way to the scenic Solway coast. Long sandy beaches and rocky shores await with views of the mountainous Lake District.
