Welcome to Sawmill Cottage's glow up! 😍

We've spent the winter renovating much of our beloved holiday cottage, and finally we can reveal what it looks like...

The main upgrade is that the cottage now has central heating throughout! We also replaced the very tired open coal fire in the living room with a new log burner, so this is the warmest you'll ever have been after a days fishing! πŸ”₯

The cottage has new: double glazing, front door, furniture, extra cupboard storage in the kitchen, fridge freezer, and washing machine.

For entertainment, there's a new 50" smart TV and Blu-ray DVD player. And for those who like to stay connected to the outside world, the cottage has full fibre internet via WiFi. No more trips to the phone tree for a signal πŸ˜….

We're now also providing bedding, towels, kitchen essentials like tea, coffee, and sugar, as well as bathroom essentials, so no need to bring your own.

We cannot thank Kirsten at MΓ₯la Interiors enough for all the hard work she's put in over the past 4 months in transforming the cottage. She's done an amazing job and we're very very happy with the job she's done ❀️

There's lots of new details that you'll find when you visit. We very much hope you like it, and we always welcome feedback and questions.

SEMI-DETACHED COTTAGE TO RENT DALTON, LOCKERBIE

One of our historic two storey, three bedroom, semi-detached lodge cottages is available for immediate let (see note at bottom of advert).

Downstairs: entrance hall, utility room with plumbing for washing machine, bathroom with electric shower, living room with open fire, kitchen with plumbing for dishwasher, under stairs storage.

Upstairs: three bedrooms (two double, one single/study room).

Single glazed windows (both upstairs skylights are double glazed Velux units), insulated external walls, floors, and loft. Oil central heating and hot water combi boiler, with back boiler on fireplace and hot water tank.

Previous tenant has left the property immaculate, and fully carpeted through hallway, living room, stairs, and upstairs bedrooms. We allow/encourage tenants to decorate as they wish. House is unfurnished - tenant would need to supply own white goods, furniture, and curtains/blinds.

Sky dish and box left by previous tenant, and we are in a full-fibre broadband area (up to 1GB speeds).

This winter we're doing some major renovations to Sawmill Cottage.

All going well, by Spring our beautiful wee cottage in the woods will have:

Visitors to Sawmill Cottage will be happy to see at last I have contractors in working on the drive up to the cottage. The old rough surface is being cleaned for new hardcore to go down but as you can see there is already a big improvement !
