From Dundee to Stornoway ✈️

Pete recently visited the site of the new MRI facility at Western Isles Hospital, where construction is progressing well on this important healthcare development. Once complete, the facility will bring MRI scanning services closer to home for communities across the Western Isles.

It was great to see the progress in person and meet with the project team on site as this important facility continues to take shape. 🏥

Planning Approval and Building Warrant secured for Phase 1 of a new bonded warehouse development at Vale of Leven.

Designed for our clients, McPherson Ltd of Aberlour, and delivered on behalf of Scot-Steel Buildings, the development comprises four bonded warehouses, with Phase 1 now approved and ready to progress to construction.

The scheme provides modern, efficient storage facilities that support future growth while responding sensitively to the industrial character of the surrounding area.

We’re excited to see this project move from concept to reality.

A remarkable piece of architectural history.

This original hand-drawn elevation of 61 Reform Street, dated June 1876, was recently rediscovered in our archives. Nearly 150 years later, the building still stands.

Breathing new life into a former vacant church in Monifieth!

This unique transformation brings together a café, gallery, bar, and music venue within one carefully reimagined space.

We wanted every intervention to respect the original building, from the new raised seating area to the reclaimed timber panelling reused for the bar, and even the original choir gates reworked into the balustrade.

A space designed for coffee mornings, exhibitions, live music, late nights and everything in between.

Proud to have delivered the full architectural service and acted as Contract Administrator throughout.

Formerly St Rules Church, this building has been carefully reimagined and transformed into a welcoming café space. Blending heritage character with contemporary design.

From the early planning stages through to the final vision, this project was all about respecting the building’s history while creating a space the community can enjoy for years to come.

A special part of this project is the practice’s long-standing connection to the building, having originally been involved in works here back in 1915, including the addition of the original toilets.
