When we recommend places to eat and drink on your golf tour, nine times out of ten one of us has been there ourselves!

Most of the time it’s Jo—she loves to eat out and insists it’s all “research.” This week she had the pleasure of dining at Osteria in North Berwick during a quick the festive break.

It may be the smallest of restaurants, but it’s bursting with personality and flavour. From the outstanding meal to the warm service, Osteria is truly one not to be missed.

On a sunny December Friday, I had the pleasure of touring the wonderful Glenkinchie Distillery, just 30 minutes from North Berwick. It was a truly fantastic experience.

From the warm and friendly welcome to the magnificent whisky on offer, everything felt special. Our guide, Pacal, was both informative and funny—the perfect combination that made the tour engaging and memorable.

A visit to Glenkinchie is not just about tasting exceptional whisky, but about enjoying the atmosphere, history, and hospitality that make it unforgettable.

A magical day spent at The Fairmont St Andrews a very warm welcome under the beautiful christmas tree.
The Challange was set with Gingerbread house construction with no box or pictures!! PS we came a very deserving 2nd Place
Then onwards to a fabulous show round of the many room types on offer, Golf simulator fun for some of us who have NEVER swung a club. Quick visit to Manor Homes via a very windy golf cart. Welcome drinks and canapes and plenty time to chat and meet you people. Back to end the afternoon with some lunch and relaxation.
Highlight of the day was the visit from Daniel ...Reservation Agent of the year!!
Thank you to the Team at The Fairmont St Andrews was a wonderful experience and just a sample of what you can all offer.

Staying in a Swilcan King Room with STUNNING balcony views over The Famous Old Course!

A must for any golf enthusiast, very few views in the world rival this!
