FISHERS TOURS - SCOTTISH EXPRESS

Several of the services that we have operated in past years will no longer operate in the 2025 season. We operate all our Scottish Express services on a purely commercial basis, which means that we receive no local authority support to operate them, and they need to generate enough money on their own to sustain their operation.

As with every home and business, we have experienced a significant increase in operating costs in recent years. We have absorbed these additional costs over the last few years, but it has now got to the point where it is no longer sustainable for us to do so. In addition, on some services, we are facing increased competition from other operators, and on others we have not seen the passenger numbers travelling that we would have expected.

We have evaluated the performance of each individual Scottish Express service in 2024, and have taken the decision that to protect the remainder of the services, we need to withdraw others that are no longer covering their operating costs.

The following services will no longer operate in 2025:
• Service 226 Arbroath to Fort William
• Service 228 Arbroath to Inverness
• Service 248 Forfar to Oban
• Service 252 Arbroath to Largs
• Service 253 Forfar to Largs
• Service 276 Dundee to Ayr
• Service 277 Arbroath to Callander

Any service not listed above will continue to operate.

We realise that this may be a disappointment to some of our regular customers, however we do hope that you understand why we have needed to make these cuts, and that you continue to support and enjoy the remaining Scottish Express services.

We can be contacted by telephone during our opening hours of 0900-1200/1300-1700 Monday to Thursday and 0900-1200/1300-1630 Fridays. Our booking office is CLOSED on a Saturday and a Sunday. Emails will only be picked up during office hours, so please bear with us for a response if you email in outside of office hours.

Booking is not compulsory and you can just turn up at the bus stop on the day, but priority will be given to passengers who have reserved a seat on the coach. Please note that specific seats on the coach cannot be reserved on any of our trips, passengers are free to sit in any seat they wish, except the driving one of course!

We accept all valid National Entitlement Cards (older person, disabled and young person) on our Scottish Express services. And if you are not lucky enough to have a concession pass, we have a range of single and day return fares available. These can be paid by cash or card payment to our driver on the day.

We look forward to welcoming you on board.
