🚢 One thing that really surprised me during our visit onboard P&O Britannia yesterday was just how beautiful the accommodation is 👀✨

We had the opportunity to tour a variety of stateroom categories, including:

🛏️ Solo cabins
♿ Accessible cabins
🌊 Balcony cabins
✨ Suites

They felt so much brighter, more spacious and more modern than many people imagine when they think of cruise ship accommodation.

But another highlight for me was seeing how P&O caters for weddings at sea 💍🚢

We were shown the ceremony set-up in the beautiful Ivory Suite, along with the drinks reception area The Crow's Nest and also where couples and their guests would celebrate afterwards in The Epciurean.

Everything was located on the same deck and flows really nicely from one part of the celebration to the next.

What really surprised me?

P&O hosts around 700 weddings onboard each year! 👏💍

It's easy to see why.

🚢 Today's ship visit (and the last one of the conference 😢) was onboard MSC Virtuosa!

Having previously visited MSC Preziosa in Belfast, I knew Virtuosa was bigger, but seeing it in person really puts its size into perspective 👀

One of the highlights of the day was being treated to a 20-minute performance of Dirty Dancing, which was absolutely incredible 🎭👏

It really reinforced something I've heard throughout the conference, modern cruising is about so much more than the destinations. The entertainment onboard is a huge part of the holiday, and MSC Virtuosa certainly doesn't disappoint.

We also had the opportunity to sample some of the speciality dining venues. The food was delicious and, honestly, the portions ended up being far bigger than "bite-sized" because they kept offering us more 😂🍽️

One thing that stood out to me was the value of the speciality dining. For example, the Mexican restaurant is just £21.99 per person for all-you-can-eat dining. If you're considering speciality restaurants, I'd definitely recommend looking at the dining packages before you sail, as they can offer fantastic value compared to onboard prices.

We also toured:

🧒 Kids clubs
🎮 Teen areas
🌊 Pool deck
🎰 Casino
✨ Adults-only spaces

MSC Virtuosa is a fantastic option for:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families
👵 Multi-generational groups
🍽️ Food lovers
🎭 Entertainment lovers
🚢 First-time cruisers

And of course, home to:
🤖 Rob the Robot Bartender (not included in drinks package but very fun)
🥂 A beautiful Champagne Bar (by the glass included in drinks package)

Top tip: If you're thinking about a drinks package, it's usually much better value to book before you sail rather than onboard.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about cruising is that you'll be bored at sea

But honestly, the entertainment available onboard modern cruise ships is incredible, this is just a quick clip.

From theatre productions and live music to comedians, guest entertainers and themed evenings, there's always something going on 👏

P&O's Headliners Theatre Company sounds fantastic and definitely gives that "West End at Sea" feel 🎭✨

Would entertainment influence which cruise line you choose?

Or are you more interested in the food? 👀😂🚢

Because I think this is one of the questions people ask most!

One thing I've loved learning more about today is the dining onboard P&O Britannia.

Whether you enjoy:

🍳 leisurely breakfasts
🍝 included dining
🥩 speciality restaurants
🍰 afternoon treats including afternoon tea
🍷 evenings with great food and wine

there really is something for everyone.

Personally, one of my favourite things about cruising is never having to decide who's cooking 😂👏

🚢 Learning day today! 🚢

I'm at the CLIA Cruise Conference in Southampton today 👀✨

One of the things I love about being a travel agent is that there's always something new to learn.

Today I'm hearing from cruise lines, industry experts and learning more about what's new in the world of cruising 💙
