📣Save Your Local Independent Cinema📣
You may or may not be aware that times are incredibly tough in the cinema industry at the moment. Many independent venues like ourselves are now unfortunately in a ‘use us or lose us’ situation.
In February, we looked at community consensus on why people wouldn’t use the cinema - the biggest being cost. We decided to lower our pricing for March and April and the response from you all about our reduced ticket costs has been so positive! Especially from families who benefitted from affordable visits during the holidays.
Unfortunately with rising costs, we are not able to sustain this initiative without your help. So we are reaching out to you, our local community and asking for your continued support. As a business, we provide a much needed service to the local community that we know would be sorely missed if we were to close.
We feel so lucky to have been a part of the Dunoon community for over 50 years and would love to stay a part of it. Please like, share and comment on this post - help us spread the word.

Did you know Benmore House was the location for the inside of the rehabilitation centre in Behind Her Eyes? This 6 part series based on the novel is still showing on Netflix if you haven’t watched it yet.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Sigma Films for their production of Educated. The site was used for location filming as well as utilising the accommodation and catering facilities we offer.
Benmore is available for location filming with various site options available.

SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION IN TRANQUIL SURROUNDINGS
Benmore Outdoor Centre is in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Just seven miles north of Dunoon within the grounds of the enchanting Botanic Gardens it’s ideal amidst the spectacular scenery of the west coast of Scotland. Our self catering accommodation at Bernice farmhouse and cottage is perfect for those who want to get away from it all or as a base for exploring the area. For larger groups and schools, Benmore House provides a comfortable residence for outdoor learning.
Benmore Main House
Our 19th century listed manor house has been modernised to provide comfortable group accommodation. Able to sleep one hundred and twenty seven across four wings, bedrooms range from dorm style quarters sleeping six to ten in bunks to twin bed rooms, some with en-suite facilities.
Many visitors to Benmore have commented on the magical Botanic Garden location, the building's architecture and occasionally a certain likeness to Hogwarts Castle. We can’t promise you’ll see Harry Potter fly past, but we can assure you of a memorable experience.
Bernice Farmhouse
Set at the foot of Beinn Mhor mountain, this remote farmhouse enjoys elevated views of Loch Eck. Off the beaten track, this bolthole is a rural holiday retreat, in prime position to enjoy stunning Cowal scenery and experience the natural wonders of the west coast. Offering a unique off-grid experience to escape modern life, our traditional accommodation will take you back to basics; think board games by the glow of a log burning stove and gathering around the campfire under a star-filled sky. Digital detoxing at it's best.
Bernice Cottage
