Blueyonder Moto

Blueyonder Moto Blueyonder has been running tours since 2009 and in 2022 we want to do far more so watch this space. Its your Blueyonder, so get involved now.

Here is your BY Moto page, its intended to be interactive, so, feel free to ask questions or just say hi! Blueyonder is a "Club" based tour group, developed from conventional touring companies. Tours are usually UK and Northern France centred and generally last 3 to 4 days. Popular tours include; Welsh Castles, Devon and Cornwall, Somme Battlefields, Normandy and the D-Day Beaches. ( No

te whilst Covid travel restrictions are in place we will only be conducting UK based rides). Our rides are aimed at experienced riders (though all are welcome) and are usually at a brisk but safe pace! Faster riders have the option of riding on ahead and rejoining at the scheduled halt points. There's usually an historical or other interesting theme to the rides. All rides include plenty of breaks at points of interest or just to get off and collectively go "Wow that was amazing!"

To give you added flexibility and choice, you can do a self guided ride (routes provided) and join the Group in the evenings. If you prefer to arrange your own accommodation you can ride with the group and all the advantages of a purpose designed ride for just £20 or £25 per day depending on the tour.

Many of you may well be asking yourselves this question?

It's a question a lot experienced older riders are asking themselves, is it time to downsize to smaller, lighter bike? Could I live with the downgrade?

Just had a call from one of my old clients turned friend from the old Blueyonder Tours days, Keith Greener, who has had some serious health problems which are now thankfully under control. However, I thought what a great opportunity to share some of the photos from those rides in France, Devon and beyond.

Our Story

Since our first “adventure” to the Normandy D-Day Beaches in 2009, Blueyonder has run many successful Guided Discovery Rides, these have been primarily in the UK and Northern France and generally over a 3 to 4 days format. The emphasis has always been on FUN with the off bike “social” being just as important as the riding! If you sign up for Blueyonder Discovery Ride, basically the routes (which include all types of great and sometimes challenging tarmac), planned petrol and meal stops and accommodation is all sorted for you, all you have to is TURN UP AND RIDE! The other thing I’ve found over the years is that many of you (like me) are interested in history as well as bikes and riding, which is why often places of historical significance and interest form an integral part of the ride. One of my personal favorites being The Somme Battlefields Ride (see the album). For 2018 I’m looking to run a Welsh Castles Discovery Ride, the problem here is what to leave out, there is so many possibilities for amazing riding.

I look forward to riding with you in the 2018 Season!

Alan
