We have a huge milestone to celebrate @ Nicki - The Holiday Village - We are officially one year old! 🍾 🥂

One year ago, when our little travel agency closed down and we were made redundant, we decided to take a leap of faith and branch out on our own. We wanted to take a moment to say a massive, heartfelt thank you.

You backed us when we needed it most. We are so incredibly grateful for every single booking, recommendation, and word of support over the last 12 months. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

To DIY or to book the ship excursion? That is always the question! 🗺️💶

Today in Honfleur, we decided to skip the official ship tour and navigate the local transport ourselves. The cost breakdown? Just 10 euros for a taxi and 3 euros each way on the local bus. An absolute bargain compared to cruise line prices!

BUT... it comes with a major catch: It’s risky. 🛑

If you venture out on your own steam and get caught in traffic, miss a bus, or get lost, the ship will not wait for you. If you're late, you will watch that ship sail away with all of your belongings still onboard. Tracking it down and getting yourself to the next port is entirely on your dime (and your passport!).
