As the 2025 Remembrance Day approaches, we solemnly honour and never forget:

▪︎The brave souls from Britain and the Commonwealth who made the ultimate sacrifice in the World Wars — their courage shaped history.

▪︎The fallen heroes from conflicts before and after, from the struggles that preceded World War II to those in Iraq where 149 British soldiers gave their lives, and Afghanistan with 457 sacrifices — their valour lives on.

▪︎The families, friends, and veterans left to carry the burden and bear the scars of these conflicts — their strength and resilience inspire us.

We pledge to remember them with unwavering respect and eternal gratitude.

We will remember them. 🙏🏼

This weekend's Enterprise National League clash at the EBB Stadium between Aldershot Town and Forest Green Rovers will be our annual Remembrance fixture. Please remember that this game has been brought forward to a 12:30pm kick-off, receiving enhanced DAZN coverage.

We’re immensely proud of the club and the town’s links to the British military and ask all our supporters and visiting supporters to show the remembrance proceedings the respect they deserve.

We also ask that supporters of both sides arrive slightly earlier than they perhaps normally would, to ensure everyone is in place for the pre-game proceedings – starting at approximately 12:15 – and for the period of silence – starting at approximately 12:24.

Poppies will be able to be bought from various collectors and points around the ground, including the EBB Stadium bars and Club Shop.

An outline of the afternoon’s proceedings can be seen below:

1210: Cadets and Standard Bearers muster for parade on the side of the pitch.

1215: Cadets line up for guard of honour (provided by Ash Manor CCF) Standards and Ball Carrier to form up for march on.

1222: Standards lead players through guard.

1223: Players form up as usual and break off - Standards form up on railway side of centre circle. Any Dignitaries with wreaths to march on behind standards but halt EBB side of centre circle leaving a gap for Referee and assistants on the centre line

1224: Referee Calls in Players to centre circle and representatives lay wreaths on centre circle.

1225: Words from Chaplain ends with:

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old,

Age shall not weary them nor the years condem.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.

1227: Last post played by members of Gordons School.

A period of silence will be observed

Reveille.

Chaplain says:

When you go home tell them of us and say for your tomorrows we gave our today.

Referee blows the whistle and take control, players break off.

1229: Ball Boys march off and take up positions,

Standards march off.

Ball carrier and es**rt to collect wreaths.

1230: Game commences.

Paying tribute to all who served.

Her Majesty The Queen opened the 97th Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey yesterday.

Her Majesty laid a cross of remembrance and met veterans from across the Armed Forces family, honouring all those who gave their lives so we could live in freedom.

We will never take their service for granted.
