This road makes for one of Scotland's most spectacular (and challenging) drives but sometimes the best seat in the house is the passenger seat! 🏔️

Have you had a chance to visit the Bealach na Ba yet? Our Torridon, Applecross & Eilean Donan Castle day tour from Inverness might just be your chance 🚌

Some places stay with you forever ⛰️

Anette first visited Scotland in 2003 with her husband - two weeks of travelling from Hadrian's Wall to John O'Groats and Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye. One of her most treasured memories was a stop at Rest and be Thankful, a viewpoint in Argyll and Bute so peaceful she didn't want to leave.

Years later, after losing her husband and in search of that feeling again, she found her way back through our Highlands, Lochs and Castles tour. "I had the same deep calm feeling as 22 years ago. And again, beautiful weather - Scotland loves me!"

Thank you for sharing this with us, Anette. We're so glad we could play a small part in bringing you back. 🤍

When Scotty starts talking about the Stones of Stenness, you listen🗿

Standing since around 3100 BC, these ancient stones predate both Stonehenge and the Avebury Stone Circle and yet somehow they still don't get the recognition they deserve!

The UK is full of places that don't always make the headlines - the colourful harbour of Tenby, the quiet abbey ruins of Whitby, the seafood and sea views of Oban, the bookshop-lined streets of Hay-on-Wye. The kind of places you stumble upon but never stop talking about 📖🌊⛪

Amanda and Mario from Massachusetts joined us on our Dunrobin Castle and Hidden Gems of Easter Ross tour last June, and Amanda's recap of the day genuinely made our hearts full!

Mario is now seriously considering a career change after falling in love with the bird exhibition at the castle (as seen in the last photo created by him 😂). Amanda got her history fix with a Queen Victoria surprise at the castle. And the two of them were the only ones to step off the bus at the Witches Stone, only to return and tell the whole group that they're from right next door to Salem, Massachusetts. As far as travel connections go, that's a pretty special one.

We can't wait to welcome you back, Amanda () and Mario!

The UK's most popular castles (Part 2) 👑

🏰 Culzean Castle, Scotland: Perched on the Ayrshire cliffs, this 18th-century masterpiece blends grand interiors with subtropical gardens and sweeping views over the Firth of Clyde.
Top tip: President Eisenhower was gifted an apartment here after WWII as a thank you from the UK. Keep an eye out for the Eisenhower exhibition inside!

🏰 Tintagel Castle, England: Where myth and history collide on the Cornish cliffs. This dramatic ruin has long been tied to the legend of King Arthur, and standing on the headland, it's not hard to see why.
Top tip: At low tide, head down to Merlin's Cave beneath the headland.

🏰 Dover Castle, England: Standing guard over the English Channel for centuries, this castle is history in layers - medieval keeps, a Roman lighthouse, and the secret WWII tunnels used to coordinate the Dunkirk evacuation.
Top tip: On a clear day you can see the coast of France from the clifftops!

🏰 Corfe Castle, England: A jagged, partially ruined fortress rising dramatically out of the Purbeck Hills. Its silhouette alone is worth the trip.
Top tip: The steam train from Swanage is a brilliant way to arrive, with beautiful views of the castle as you pull in.

🏰 Crathes Castle, Scotland: A 16th-century hidden gem tucked away in Aberdeenshire, charming visitors with its fairytale turrets, rare painted ceilings and unhurried atmosphere.
Top tip: The painted ceilings inside are among the best preserved in Scotland, don't rush past them!

Which of these have you been to already? And are any of them on your list? 👀

Did you know…? 🐝

Today is World Bee Day, a celebration marking the birthday of Anton Janša, a pioneer of modern beekeeping. Designated by the United Nations, the day shines a spotlight on the vital role bees and pollinators play in protecting biodiversity, food systems, and ecosystems around the world.

At Rabbie’s, we care deeply about the environments we share. That’s why we’ve self-imposed a Carbon Tax of £10 per tonne of carbon emitted across our operations, helping us support meaningful initiatives like Kin Bee's🐝

Through the Honeybee Swarm Rescue project, swarms are safely rescued and rehomed into managed apiaries where colonies can go from strength to strength. Every rescue, works towards the protection of thousands of pollinators, safeguarding crops, wild plants, biodiversity, and the delicate ecosystems we all depend on.

A huge thank you to the amazing team at Kin Bee's for the incredible work they do to protect and preserve our pollinators every single day. 💛
