Wow, just wow!! I've seen a lot of coos in a lot of amazing locations, but these Heilan Coos have the best view yet 👌 with Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle just beyond.

Thank you so much to the crofter Iain for taking us up to his croft. Not just introducing us to his cows and their newborn calves, but also allowing my young guests from Pennsylvania to bottle feed his orphaned lambs. Memories to last a lifetime 😍

A sheep chorus....what a racket they're making!! To be fair, I think they thought we were the farmer coming to feed them.

I'm sure you'll agree that the 2 mile climb up the hill is well worth the views over the Cromarty Firth.

The Fyrish Monument was built in 1782 by Sir Hector Munro of Novar to resemble the Gates of Negapatam in India. It was constructed to create local employment and to commemorate his 1781 victory at Negapatam in India.

What an amazing experience with just the most spectacular weather today. Thanks to for introducing me to some of the ladies and calves of the herd, which has grown to 150 reindeers after being reintroduced to Scotland in the 1950s.

A mix of photos from our other stops on our North West Highlands research trip last week. From majestic stags, to stunning gorges, huge caves and snow capped peaks, the area is just mind blowing. I can't wait to get back here with tour guests and see the magic through their eyes.

Tour guides on tour! Off exploring again and this time in the far north West of Scotland with more of the team. The walk up the rocky gorge was well worth it for the amazing Wailing Widow Falls.

Day three of my research travels.  Left Tobermory early to get the ferry back to Oban, then meandered down the Argyll coastal route, and back to Edinburgh in time for my curling match. Mixed bag of weather from beautiful blue skies to snow capped mountains and heavy wind/rain - typical Scotland!

Stops along the way:-
*Tobermory
*Carnasserie Castle
*Nether Largie Cairns and Standing Stones - just one area of many such stones in Kilmartin Glen
*Lochgilphead
*Crarae Woodland Gardens
*Inverary - Viral Spark ship
*Loch Fyne Oyster Bar
*Ardkinglas Gruffalo Woodland Trail
*Loch Lomond (from Firkin Point)
