Highland Tiger Mountain Tours run day and overnight trips up iconic Scottish Mountains, departing from Edinburgh. On one of our tours you will get to experience the Scottish Highlands up close and personal! With a qualified and insured Mountain Leader, the group will take in some of the finest scenery in Scotland (and the world, by default!). This is not a tour where you get out of the bus, take a

picture, and get back in - this a full-on day in the hills, seeing incredible landscapes, nature, geological features and usually four seasons in one day! When you get home you'll be able to bask in the warm feeling of satisfaction that only comes from being outside taking on nature all day, seeing some incredible scenery both from the bus and during the walk, and having the time to meet and get to know new people. Our tours depart from central Edinburgh, and will pick you up from your door (so long as it is within two miles of the city centre). Peter, or one of his colleagues, will welcome you and drive you safely to your day's objective, be it Glencoe, Fort William, Cairngorm, or further afield. As you head further north the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, and will no doubt have you itching to get amongst it! There will be a refreshment/toilet stop en route, where you can also buy your lunch if you haven't brought it with you. Typically you will be collected at 6.30-7.00 am before a 2 - 2.5 hour drive. We'll make first steps about 10.00 am, and spend the next 6-8 hours seeing some of the finest valleys, peaks, ridges and coires in the world! While there is no rock climbing involved in our tours, we try to pick out exciting terrain, such as mountain ridges, hanging valleys, ravines and waterfalls. We'll stop often to refresh and rest, and the aim is that you have the day you imagined: If the group wants to stop and swim in a rock pool that's what we'll do, or sometimes people are fresh and we'll take in an extra summit. Highland Tiger Tours are about getting back to nature, away from your phone and computer, interacting with the natural environment, feeling tired but happy at the end of the day! In practical terms this means you must be comfortable drinking from streams (water purification tablets will be available, although personally we never use them), using nature's "facilities", and possibly enjoying some "character building" Scottish weather...all to be rewarded by a great sense of satisfaction, new friends and amazing memories at the end of the day!
