Am so happy with my garden this year - the weather has been pretty perfect - enough rain so that things don’t dry out … there’s just a short break left in August by the way … then we are fully booked until November !

If you are staying at the cottage do go along to Stanton Hall Gardens - and make sure you’ve got some room for plants in the car home ! I had a lovely couple of hours wandering among the flowers this afternoon and luckily just missed the rain .. Stanton Hall Gardens is only 20 minutes away and you can also call in at a local farm (the Hemmel at Hill End) for fresh organic milk, eggs, ice cream and all sorts !

Very exciting! Our guests a couple of weeks ago were lucky enough to spot an otter in the Elsdon burn! I’m so jealous - I’m always walking there but probably making too much noise with two elderly dogs …! (Ps not a picture of the actual otter but I had to include one as they are so adorable. Tunes in the blooms is back!!

Come along and enjoy live music from local musicians in the glorious surroundings of the Walled Garden every Sunday in June.

Pull up a deckchair, roll out a blanket and kick back and relax to the sound of live music in the Walled Garden. There's a wide variety of music on offer including jazz, folk, acoustic guitar and a community band.

And when the music stops, enjoy the beautiful blooms of the Walled Garden at this special time of year.

The Garden Kiosk is open throughout with cakes, bakes, ice creams as well as hot and cold drinks available to purchase.
