Our Story

Welcome to Hays Travel Ely.

My name is Simon and I am proud to be leading my team of 7. We are all very thankful for Hays for giving us the opportunity to get back to what we love doing since the events with Thomas Cook unfolded. I have worked in Travel for over 5 years and my favourite part of my job is talking to customers (old and new) about their past and future holidays. I am a destination expert on Mexico and all other long haul destinations. However, I have also travelled throughout Europe and i do love to cruise. I look forward to welcoming both old and new customers into the store to meet my friendly team.

I am proud to work alongside my great team. Sara, is my Assistant Manager and she has worked in Travel for 22 years. Sara has a wealth of experience and loves to talk holidays with all her customers. Sara has worked in numerous places throughout her career including Heathrow Airport she has experience in both Foreign exchange and travel. Her favourite holiday destination is anywhere with a hot tub. Her bucket list destination is Bora Bora.

Katie has been in travel for 5 years. She has worked as a travel agent for 2 years and previously worked overseas as a holiday rep in mainland Spain (Benidorm) and Egypt. Katie has visited a number of destinations with her favourite being Crete in Greece. Her bucket list destination is a Safari in Africa .
