✈️ Travel Update for Spain 🇪🇸

If you or someone you know is travelling to Spain with a hidden disability, please note that the UK Sunflower Lanyard is no longer accepted for access to Aena’s dedicated assistance security lanes at participating Spanish airports.

Instead, travellers can apply free of charge for Aena’s Invisible Disability Badge, which can provide:
✅ Access to dedicated assistance security lanes (where available)
✅ Additional support through security
✅ Easier identification by airport staff

The badge must be applied for online at least 48 hours before travel and only one badge is needed per family or travel group.

After more than 21 years living in Crete, my parents are still discovering new corners of this incredible island. Today they decided to play tourist and joined a coach trip to the stunning Falasarna Beach.

Their verdict? "It looked just like the Indian Ocean!" 🌊✨ With its crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft golden sand, and endless views, it's easy to see why.

The day also included a stop for some local wine tasting 🍷 and a visit to the fascinating Komolithi formations near Potamida in the Kissamos region. These dramatic earth pyramids, made from soft clay and silt, were sculpted over thousands of years by wind and water erosion, creating one of Crete's most unique natural landscapes.

Just look at the beautiful photos they captured today. 📸 Moments like these prove that no matter how long you've lived somewhere, there's always something new to explore.
