A little flashback to a couple of weeks ago and our visit to Beaulieu and the Gardeners World spring fair.

We certainly have been enjoying so many days out with beautiful weather, this visit was no exception, plants galore, talks, show gardens and lovely to see this legend agian.

What a lovely day on Wednesday to Salisbury with a visit to the Cathedral to enjoy the flower festival.

It’s been a few years since they’ve held the festival and this year theme was The Spirit Of Water, and it didn’t disappoint.

Spread throughout the Catherdral, with music and floral demonstrations that gave you plenty to see and enjoy.

Well we are home after a lovely week visiting the Isle of Wight, and the washing is in the dryer.

We enjoyed glorious weather for our visits to Cowes, Yarmouth and Godshill. Gave chance to explore Osborne House, Ventor Botanical Gardens and Quarr Abbey.

Then finished off with our traditional visit to the donkey sanctuary, with lots of lovely scenery along the way, gosh we packed in a lot.

We have been to the Isle Of Wight many times over the years, but never visited Quarr Abbey.

What a little gem, home to a small group of Benedictine monks the doors are opened and all are invited in.

Lovely tea rooms in much loved and peaceful grounds, plus chance to meet the pigs which have come synonymous with the Abbey.

This week finds us on the Isle Of Wight, and so far we are enjoying some wonderful weather.

We haven’t been on the island for a very long time so we are going to make the most of it, starting yesterday with Osborne House.

Just look at the colour in those flower beds, we just caught them at the right time.

So from a weather forecast that was rain all day, we enjoyed blue skys and sunshine for our visit to the tulip festival at Arundel Castle yesterday.

What a treat, and wow have they have done so much extra planting since our last visit.

From the moment you walk through the gates the grounds are a joy to walk around, and the love and hard work showcases throughout.

We enjoyed an evening of soul music last night at The Royal Albert Hall, presented by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

A packed evening, with two super vocalists Trevor Dion Nicholas and Gloria Onitiri joining the orchestra to give us hits from Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and Diana Ross to name but a few.

Here's a little snippet of the audience up on their feet and getting down to a little bit of Tina Turner.

What beautiful weather we had on Wednesday for our visit to Syon House, set in parkland designed by capability brown designed, with the peace a quiet sadly spoilt by the Heathrow flight path.

We were treated to private guided tour of the house with its grand interiors and works of art, and being early season pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Then chance to wander the grounds with the bonus of the garden centre next door for refreshment and cheeky purchases by many.

We kicked off our 2025 Day Tour programme last Friday, with a return visit to Chichester Catering College.

A super college that continue to train students up for a future in the hospitality industry, they all ways look after us so well on our visits.

We are off and running now and looking forward to some great days ahead.

Over the last few weeks we’ve been enjoying a several theatre tours.

We’ve seen MJ The Musical and Hamilton both bringing in much praise.

Also Mathew Bournes production of Swan Lake at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton.

As the sunshine’s and we are at the first day of Spring, Friday we start our 2025 day tours and we look forward to many sunny days out.

We’ve enjoyed two West End shows in the last week, and although both of them are long running shows, we haven’t seen them in a while.

The ever popular and refreshed Les Miserables with even one person on the coach seeing it for the 11th time.

Together with a full house for Wicked The Musical, which after the recent film release I’m sure will be running for many more years.
